Silent & Live Auctions Are Back For The 2023 CDS Conference

Greetings CDS Friends –

We look forward to seeing you at the CDS Conference in Portland!.

Start thinking now about how you can support the CDS Silent and Live Auction to bolster the Society’s educational materials fund, diversity fund, scholarship fund, Nette Nelson Travel Scholarship Fund, George Nickolaus CD Graduate Student Award, Ted Bradshaw Fund, Annual International Conference Fund, and unrestricted fund maintained in the CDS Endowment.

How Can You Help?

Donate unique auction items that exemplify your local culture.  Be creative!  Select items that reflect your community and the local culture, such as handmade crafts, artisan works, clothing, music, literature, beverages of all kinds, and foods. (No university or organizational swag, please.) If you want to ship your item(s) ahead or cannot attend the conference, you may ship them to Chris Marko in Portland.

Help us plan for and promote the auction in advance.  Do you already have auction items in mind?  Let us know!  Send us some pictures!  Simply complete an auction item donation form and send it and photographs of your auction item(s) to Doug Leslie at director@cdsociety.org  .  Items received by July 1 will be previewed online!  We will be accepting items at the conference-whether you sent information early or not.

Encourage others to donate, participate, and to start a bidding war!  Let’s plan to have fun! All funds raised through the auction support the CDS Endowment and make it possible to provide scholarships and other kinds of grants to support the professional development of CDS members.

Or make a direct cash donation to the CDS Endowment. Your donation of a locally made product, participation in the CDS auction, or direct donation is a great way to make a lasting contribution to the CDS Endowment and support the continued professional growth of our members.

The CDS Auction Sub-Committee thanks you for your support!
