Help us continue the legacy of providing networking opportunities and events for Community Development professionals and students.

CDS’ Giving Tuesday goal is to raise $5,000 by December 2, 2025.

Established in 1969, the mission of the Community Development Society (CDS) is to strengthen and advance community development policy, practice, learning and research through educational and scientific means.

CDS has established and embraces the Principles of Good Practice for the field of community development.

 

The Society’s continued goals are to:

  • Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among community developers
  • Advocate for and award excellence in advancing the common good through community development policy and practice and scholarship and research
  • Provide platforms for the dissemination of professional and scholarly works
  • Provide opportunities for dialogue and deliberation among CDS Members

Your generous donation will help to:

  1. Keep organizational and membership costs down
  2. Support our scholarly journals
  3. Invest in scholarships for students
  4. Market membership to new and diverse audiences
