Presented to a CDS member who is either an undergraduate or graduate student, in recognition of his or her contribution to community development through a paper, an article, a field project or internship, or other applied research. This person should exemplify the Principles of Good Practice as adopted by the Society.
Eligibility
- Must be a current member of CDS
- At the time of nomination, must be currently enrolled, full-time or part-time, in a community development or related curriculum
- Copy of the paper, article, applied research, or description of the field project or internship upon which the nomination is based
- Evidence of an important addition to the theory, research, and/or practice of community development
- A scholarly or field-based contribution that is transferable to other applied or community focused settings
- Demonstration of community scholarship research, and/or practice skills that emphasize the value of citizen participation as essential to effective community development
