Portland International Airport (PDX) is a secondary hub for Alaska Airlines. PDX is also served by the following carriers:

Local Transit
Portland is a transit-forward city. TriMet offers light rail, streetcar, and bus transportation throughout the metropolitan area. CDS will be providing digital transit passes to every conference registrant as we get closer to the event date. Plan your trip and hop on board!
From the airport, take the MAX Red Line to the Gateway station. Transfer to the Green Line and get off at the PSU South station. Walk 0.2 miles to the University Place Hotel and Conference Center. (About 55 minutes.)
From the Amtrak, walk 0.2 miles to the Union Station MAX station and take the Green Line to the PSU South station. Walk 0.2 miles to the University Place Hotel and Conference Center. (About 20 minutes.)
Alaska Airlines Discount
We are happy to provide an Alaska Airlines travel discount for all CDS Conference registrants and guests.
To use your Discount Code, go online to alaskaair.com and input the Discount Code: ECME862 when searching for flights. The discount will be applied to any flights between July 14-21, 2023.
You and your guests may also use the Discount Code by calling Alaska Airlines Group Desk; however, a $15.00 per person service fee will apply.
You can verify all current baggage allowances and fees as well as travel policies on www.alaskaair.com prior to travel.

Alaska Airlines Group Desk hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6am-6pm PST, Saturday 7:30am-6pm PST, closed Sunday.
Train Travel
Portland, Oregon is served by three Amtrak routes that bring you to Portland Union Station:
- Amtrak Cascades
- Coast Starlight
- Empire Builder
If your point of origin isn’t on one of those lines, connections are available from other routes.
Ground Transportation Options
The Whova conference app offers a Ride Sharing function to connect with other conference travelers. Be sure to check it out!
Private ride options include taxi cabs, shuttles, limos, Uber, and Lyft. RideGuru is a helpful resource.
Accessibility resources can be found through the City of Portland.
While you’re in town, there are also bike-share services (Biketown) and electric scooter-share services (Lime, Bolt, Spin, and Bird).
